VMware, Dell Technologies, and a group of cloud and edge infrastructure companies formed the Open Grid Alliance today to foster a re-architected internet. The group, which also includes DriveNets, MobiledgeX, and PacketFabric, wants the internet to converge as a shared platform for distributed compute, data, and intelligence at the edge.
