About DriveNets
DriveNets is a leader in high-scale disaggregated networking, modernizing how service providers, cloud providers and hyperscalers build their networks. We are expanding our Hardware domain, owning end-to-end platform development across electronics, firmware, thermal-mechanical design, ATE, labs and validation for high-performance, high-speed systems.
About the Role
We are looking for a Qualification & Compliance Engineer to own the qualification and regulatory-certification path of our networking hardware platforms — from design-for-compliance through pre-compliance testing, accredited-lab campaigns, and global market certification. You will combine solid theory in EMC, product safety and environmental engineering with strong hands-on lab capability, partnering with electrical, SI/PI, thermal-mechanical, firmware and product teams to bring products to market on time, on-spec, and certified across all target regions.
Key Responsibilities
Qualification
• Define and execute platform qualification plans covering functional, environmental (temperature, humidity, altitude), thermal/derating, reliability (HALT/HASS, thermal cycling, vibration/shock) and life-cycle stress testing.
• Build qualification matrices, acceptance criteria and pass/fail reports; track issues to closure with the design teams and drive root-cause/corrective-action (8D) analysis.
• Verify designs against the published environmental window (0–40 °C operating, –40 to 70 °C storage, 5–90% RH, up to 3,000 m) and challenge thermal margins with the thermal-mechanical team.
EMC & Regulatory Compliance
• Plan and run pre-compliance EMC testing (radiated/conducted emissions, ESD, EFT/burst, surge, RS/CS immunity) in-house, and interpret results against EN 55032/CISPR 32, EN 55035, FCC Part 15B and the IEC 61000-4-x suite.
• Own accredited-lab certification campaigns and serve as DriveNets’ technical interface to NRTLs and test houses; review test plans, witness testing, and resolve findings.
• Drive global market access: CE, UKCA, FCC, ICES-003, KCC, VCCI, RCM, BSMI, TEC, ANATEL, ICASA and NOM, managing local-representative and in-country testing requirements.
Product Safety
• Drive product-safety compliance to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 and regional variants: energy-source classification, creepage/clearance, touch-current and temperature evaluations, and component selection (certified PSUs, fans, connectors).
Documentation & Design-for-Compliance
• Compile and maintain technical construction files, Declarations of Conformity, and RoHS/WEEE/REACH material declarations; maintain the compliance status matrix per platform and region.
• Influence design early — review schematics, PCB stack-ups, shielding, grounding, filtering and enclosure concepts with SI/PI and mechanical teams to design compliance in, not test it in.
• Education: B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience: above 3 years in hardware qualification, EMC and/or regulatory compliance of electronic systems — ideally networking, telecom or high-speed digital products.
• Theory: Working command of EMC fundamentals (emissions/immunity coupling, grounding, shielding, filtering) and product-safety principles under the 62368-1 hazard-based model.
• Standards: Hands-on familiarity with EN 55032/CISPR 32, EN 55035, EN 61000-3-2/-3-3, the IEC 61000-4-x suite, FCC Part 15, ICES-003 and IEC/EN 62368-1.
• Hands-on: Practical lab skill with spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, LISNs, antennas, ESD/EFT/surge generators, anechoic/semi-anechoic or GTEM setups, plus environmental chambers; able to set up, measure, debug and document.
• Certification process: Experience running campaigns with NRTLs/accredited labs and compiling DoCs and technical files.
• Soft skills: Rigorous, well-organized and detail-driven; strong cross-functional communication and clear technical reporting in English.
