Prior to DriveNets, he was a university AI Researcher working on multi-spectral satellite image registration - combining advanced methods for feature extraction and transformers. In his military service, Yakir founded a team that worked on various disciplines in the AI, sensing, and signal processing worlds - focusing on classification, detection, reinforcement learning, and different prediction problems using the combination of signal processing, computer vision, and numerical data analysis.
