Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced NPI Engineer or NPI Team Leader to lead and execute the transition of new hardware products from design to mass production. This role is critical in building prototypes with R&D, defining product components, managing BOMs, setting up and maintaining PLM infrastructure, setting up production line, define quality requirements to ensuring high-quality, scalable manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prototype engagement:
  • Collaborate with R&D to build and evaluate early-stage prototypes.
  • Drive definition and selection of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components. Work with component engineering.
  • Work with R&D to test and certify product to the required standards.
  • BOM & PLM Ownership:
  • Develop and manage structured, multi-level BOMs through PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Agile, Windchill).
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and released documentation for engineering and production teams.
  • Maintain engineering change control (ECO) process.
  • NPI & Pilot Builds:
  • Lead engineering builds and early production runs (EVT, DVT, PVT).
  • Own the coordination of internal teams and contract manufacturers (CM) during these phases.
  • Monitor build performance, debug issues, and drive yield and quality improvements.
  • Supplier & CM Interface:
  • Ensure all manufacturing documentation, tooling, and test requirements are in place for pilot and mass production.
  • Process and Yield Optimization:
  • Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering on DFM/DFA initiatives. Improve yield 


Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in NPI manufacturing, or hardware product development.
  • Proven experience with PLM tools and BOM management – Agile is advantage
  • Background in component engineering – is advantage.
  • Experience interfacing with CMs and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFA/DFX at early stages.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in, communication devices, switches – is advantage.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements -NAMS is advantage
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Proven ability to managing small team.
