Professional Services Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge and experience in security, routing, switching, and service provider technologies. An expert in Carrier Grade Networking Services, Core Network configuration, WAN and Backbone networks, and in sectors such as Service Providers, Banking, Government, and Communications.


In this role you will:

·       Provide direct customer consultation on DRIVENETS software, including demonstration of POCs

·       Configure, troubleshoot and perform analysis on Routers, Switches and various network elements

·       Create, document and execute test cases and scenarios within customer networks based on varying designs

·       Define network topologies and both physical & logical network configurations for internal/customer labs

·       Provide remote support to various clients on DRIVENETS products

·       Provide proactive and reactive support for both lab and production networks

·       Maintain and support customer SLAs

·       Install, monitor and maintain software/configuration of network routers, tools and applications


Minimum Qualifications (at least two items)

·  Bachelor of Engineering

·  CCIE-w: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Routing and Switching

·  CCDA: Cisco Certified Design Associate

·  Diploma in Computer Engineering

·  CCDP: Cisco Certified Design Professional                                                   

·  CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate

·  CCIE: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Service Provider

·  CCNP: Cisco Certified Network Professional                                                   

·  ITILv3 F: Information Technology Infrastructure Library V3 

To be successful in this role you should be familiar and experienced with:

·       Ability to maintain networks – from basic implementation to the modification of route policies, prefix lists, access controls, community lists, adjacencies and inbound/outbound advertisements of routes

·       Navigating and troubleshooting Linux Operating Systems and Carrier/Service Provider networks

·       The area of Lab Deployment – Designing and deploying specific lab topologies to better understand specific scenarios or to test network behaviour

·       Evaluating a customer’s network requirements and modifying the configuration of devices in the network

·       Ability to evaluate packet and frame headers on control/data traffic

·       The art of relaying technical/operational information to technical and non-technical audiences

·       Documentation – Skilled in the area of recording information efficiently, coherently and concisely
