We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lab Manager to join our team and drive the development, testing, and validation of our networking products.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lab Manager to oversee the testing of new networking board prototypes. This role involves managing everything from hands-on testing and equipment definition, lab tools procurement, and ability to verify the specification of electrical compliance to result analysis and presentation. The Lab Manager will support the establishment of labs from scratch, manage lab parts and boards, define test board requirements, and ensure high-quality testing and repair of prototypes. The position will also require collaboration with global teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Testing of Networking Board Prototypes:

Oversee and manage testing for new networking board prototypes, including test and equipment definition and procurement of lab tools. Ensure that testing is comprehensive and that results are accurate and actionable.

• Lab and Measurement Equipment:

Manage and validate lab and measurement equipment, ensuring compliance with electrical and technical specifications.

• Support Lab Building and Setup:

Take a lead role in setting up new labs from scratch, managing the procurement of necessary tools and equipment, and establishing testing workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the lab meets the needs of various engineering and research departments.

• Lab Parts and Boards Management:

Oversee the distribution, ordering, and management of lab boards. Manage the execution of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure that changes are properly documented and implemented.

• Test Boards Requirements Definition:

Work with product and engineering teams to define the requirements for test boards used in prototype testing. Ensure that the boards meet the necessary specifications and provide the functionality required for testing.

• Testing and Repair of Faulty Prototypes:

Lead the testing and troubleshooting of faulty prototypes, identifying and addressing issues through detailed analysis. Provide repair capabilities for defective test boards and prototypes.

• Soldering Capabilities

• Support for Global Teams:

Provide support to peers across the globe, offering technical expertise, troubleshooting assistance, and ensuring the success of cross-border collaboration efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience in a lab or engineering environment. Talented Practical Eng. is also an option.

• Proven experience in lab management, including test equipment definition, procurement, and setup.

• Hands-on expertise in testing, measuring, and validating electrical prototypes, including signal integrity and power integrity testing.

• Strong experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, BERT, and VNA/spectrum analyzers.

• Excellent soldering skills and experience in repairing and troubleshooting faulty prototypes.

• Experience in defining test board requirements, conducting tests, and managing the entire testing lifecycle.

• Ability to manage lab parts and boards, including ECN execution and inventory management.

• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across different teams globally.

• Experience working with local and international vendors and outsourcing companies.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

• Proficient in documenting test results, creating technical reports, and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.
