The Role

The leader of Infrastructure Reliability Engineering will be globally responsible for building and leading the team, processes, and software which instruments, visualizes and interacts with DriveNets’ infrastructure. The ideal candidate for this role has deep infrastructure automation and instrumentation experience at consumer webscale, and/or with a multi-national carrier, preferably with a heavy focus on ML/AI. This candidate has extensive DevOps experience, and can demonstrate progressive experience as a developer, system engineer/admin, and leader.

·      Define, document and execute a full-scope infrastructure instrumentation, alerting, automation and ML strategy

·      Articulate staffing needs to support the automation mission and construct the appropriate team

·      Create a change management platform and process in partnership with the engineering and operations teams

·       Define and measure, in partnership with operations, operational KPIs

·       Partner with development teams to ensure integration between operational automation and CI/CD pipelines is seamless

·       Have 7+ years of consumer webscale or multi-national carrier progressive infrastructure automation and visualization leadership

·       Experience leading software engineering and system engineering staff using a DevOps model

·       Clear experience defining and executing a greenfield automation and instrumentation strategy using a combination of buy and build approaches

·       Has a historical bias toward automation as a problem remediation vector and as a velocity enabler

·       Experience developing predictive failure models to enable proactive problem remediation

·       Believes in tight partnerships with engineering and operations, ensuring that automation deliveries are driven by business need

·       Recruit, hire and retain exceptional automation talent that wants to change the fundamental operating precepts of the internet
