DriveNets Recognized as Winner of 2020 Fierce Innovation Award for the Second Consecutive Year in the Next Gen Deployment Wireline Category
Raanana, Israel, December 10, 2020 – DriveNets announced today that it has been selected as a winner in the 2020 Fierce Innovation Awards – Telecom Edition, a peer reviewed awards program from Fierce Wireless and Fierce Telecom. The competition highlights that DriveNets’ disruptive Network Cloud solution continued to deliver new capabilities in the past 12 months that are changing the way networks are built, operated and scaled. DriveNets was recognized for the second consecutive time as a winner in the category of Next Gen Deployment Wireline.
DriveNets was selected as a winner for its innovative, industry leading product, DriveNets Network Cloud, a software-based networking solution running on standard networking white boxes that can be clustered as a distributed chassis and scaled to hundreds of Tbps – the largest demonstrated router in the market today. It’s unique cloud architecture seamlessly scales network services and applications and offers an innovative economic model.
“It is an honor to be recognised by industry experts Questex for the second year running and a true testament to the momentum of network disaggregation and the profound change it is making in the future of the networking market,” said Ido Susan, CEO and co-founder, DriveNets. “DriveNets’ Network Cloud is being adopted throughout the industry and we are seeing first-hand how service and cloud providers are able to drive faster innovations based on this new cloud-native model.”
DriveNets Network Cloud is revolutionizing service and cloud provider networks by disaggregating the network infrastructure from core to edge, in the same way Hyperscalers disaggregated the Cloud infrastructure. It is operational at the widest deployment on the market of a Distributed Disaggregated Chassis (DDC) at a tier-1 network and supports the highest router scale from a single-box router of 4Tb/s, to a cluster of white boxes operated as a single router of 768 Tb/s (7680 ports of 100G or 1920 ports of 400G).
The unique economic model allows SPs and Hyperscalers to buy networking white boxes directly from their manufacturers at cost+ and buy DriveNets’ networking software license separately. This new model allows SPs and Hyperscalers to scale much faster, increase profitability, improve operational efficiency and avoid vendor-lock.
In September, DriveNets announced the deployment of DriveNets Network Cloud as the software-based core routing solution for AT&T – the largest backbone in the US. DriveNets recently announced the launch of DriveNets Network Orchestrator (DNOR 2.0), a crucial component in the transformation of traditional networks to cloud-native networks.
Winners’ applications were reviewed by an exclusive panel of executives from major telecommunications companies and analysts including T-Mobile, Telia Carrier AB, Recon Analytics, iGR, Mobile Ecosystem, Mobile Experts, Inc., Senza Fili, and Futuriom. All of the submissions were evaluated based on ease of use/ROI, effectiveness, technical innovation, competitive advantage, and financial impact. DriveNets is a fast-growing software company that builds networks like hyperscale clouds. It offers service providers and cloud hyperscalers a radical new way to build their networks with higher capacity and scale and at a much lower cost. Based on a SaaS model, it detaches network growth from network cost, increasing network profitability.
Founded by Ido Susan and Hillel Kobrinsky, two successful telco entrepreneurs, DriveNets Network Cloud is the leading open disaggregated routing solution based on cloud-native software and standard white boxes. DriveNets was awarded the Leading Light award 2020 for Company of the Year (Private) and ‘Innovation Award – Vendor’ at the 21st Annual World Communications Awards.
