#LI-Remote

DriveNets, a leader in cloud-native networking software and network disaggregation solutions, offers communications service providers and cloud providers a radical new way to build networks and drive networks. By disrupting the fundamental scaling and economic characteristics of the Internet, DriveNets enables carriers to build networks like clouds.

The Role

The leader of Infrastructure Program Management will be globally responsible for overseeing DriveNets’ entire global portfolio of infrastructure programs, including build/procurement, partner management, reporting/status vehicles, team alignment and internal/external customer interlocks.

They are drawn to disruptive technology and are excited by the idea of building something new. They are extremely organized, a clear, elegant and articulate communicator, have mature, tested influence skills, and can elicit measurable results and accountability from both internal and external stakeholders.

This individual is driven, highly empathetic, fearlessly kind, and believes in the concept of exhibiting and soliciting personal authenticity without compromise. They are unafraid to hold themselves and others accountable and understand how and when to surface risk in the context of the overall business. Their work product is readily digestible by engineers and executive leadership alike, driving understanding, alignment and velocity into all levels of the organization.

 Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for DriveNets’ portfolio of infrastructure programs, from cradle to grave.
  • Design, deploy and maintain a reporting structure that serves internal and external stakeholders, inclusive of engineering, development, finance, and procurement.
  • Engage directly with customers, usually at the mid-to-senior executive level. Represent DriveNets’ interests in those conversations professionally, honestly and with confidence and understanding.
  • Show up prepared 100% of the time and think strategically to be able to answer questions that haven’t been asked, both by internal and external parties.
  • Be good at delivering complex (and sometimes difficult) messages with a balance of simplicity, empathy and honesty that makes the recipient feel good and well-informed about the exchange, even if they didn’t like the message.

Requirements

  • Be kind.
  • Have 7+ years of consumer webscale or multi-national carrier progressive infrastructure program management experience.
  • Have experience improving/turning around sub-optimally operated or deficient programs.
  • Unabashedly question the status quo. Drive people and meetings to develop understanding, not just information.
  • Articulate, reinforce and champion our program goals, and ensure that they remain well-understood by our stakeholders.
  • Be well-versed enough in the technology DriveNets is developing to be able to question the veracity of what you are being told, and to be a part of a technical dialogue. You don’t just collect information; you understand what it means.
  • Be able to manage the full-scope infrastructure program with an eye toward growing the organization over time.
  • Possess impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
  • Produce clear, correct, timely, easy-to-understand reporting artifacts that describe every facet of the infrastructure program.
  • Be present in every meeting you attend. Represent DriveNets’ interests professionally and empathetically.
  • Speak with the voice of DriveNets’ infrastructure executive leadership confidently, ethically and correctly.
  • Be able to speak to the details of the programs you oversee, not just the ‘high level.’
  • To you, compromise is an art form. You are supremely capable of pulling conflicted parties into a meeting and walking out with consensus and understanding.
  • Drive alignment among other program/project managers internally. Lead by example.
  • Your name is aspirationally used by internal and external parties to describe the sort of program manager that they wish they had supporting them.
  • Transparency is a fundamental precept of how you operate.
  • Be able to structure your work hours to ensure good alignment with partners in the UTC+2 timezone.
  • You and infrastructure business analysis are two sides of the same coin. You are in lockstep 100% of the time.
