Job Summary
As the AI Research Team Lead, you will lead a specialized team of researchers focused on high-performance AI systems, including GPU optimization, networking architectures, and collective communication strategies. You will define research directions, mentor the team, and collaborate closely with major industry players to align research with real-world applications and standards.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead and manage a team of AI researchers focused on GPU acceleration, networking, and collective communication.
● Define and execute research strategies aligned with company and industry goals.
● Conduct advanced research in AI infrastructure, distributed training, model optimization, and high-performance computing.
● Translate research findings into practical solutions for production-scale AI systems.
● Collaborate with leading industry companies to align research with emerging standards and real-world challenges.
● Identify bottlenecks, analysis and optimize in distributed GPU eco-system
● Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
● 3+ years of experience in AI research or applied machine learning, with a focus on GPU optimization, networking, or collective communication.
● Proven experience leading and mentoring research teams.
● Familiarity with large-scale model training and inferencing, distributed AI, and collective communication libraries (e.g., NCCL, MPI).
● Experience collaborating with major industry partners and integrating research with production systems.
● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
● 5+ years of experience in distributed system programming
● Expert-level programming with focus on performance optimization (C / C++ / Python)
● Experience with performance profiling, benchmarking and optimization tools
● Fast learner, highly organized, detail-oriented with high motivation
