About DriveNets

DriveNets is a leader in disaggregated, high-scale networking solutions for service providers and AI infrastructure. Founded in 2015, DriveNets reimagines how networks are built by applying cloud architecture principles to telco-grade environments. Our solutions power some of the world’s largest networks, including tier-1 service providers and hyperscalers, enabling faster deployment, improved economics, and simplified operations.

The Role

We are looking for a Data Center Tech Lead to join our Lab team in Ra’anana.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, where you will take ownership of the data center operations, drive best practices, and lead complex infrastructure activities.

You will play a key role in scaling our data center infrastructure, improving reliability, and bringing structure to day-to-day operations, while mentoring others and acting as a technical focal point for the team.

You’ll report to the Lab Manager and work closely with Networking, IT, R&D, and Support teams.

What You’ll Do

Data Center Operations & Ownership

  • Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, network equipment, and cabling
  • Own rack & stack standards, cabling design, and data center organization
  • Oversee power, cooling, and overall facility health, including capacity planning (space, power, cooling)
  • Drive scalability and efficiency of lab and data center environments

Troubleshooting & Escalations

  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex hardware and network issues
  • Lead root cause analysis and drive long-term solutions to recurring problems
  • Handle critical incidents with high ownership in real-time, high-pressure scenarios
  • Work closely with vendors on RMA processes and hardware lifecycle management

Network & Systems Leadership

  • Lead deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs)
  • Provide guidance on L1–L3 troubleshooting in complex, high-scale environments
  • Oversee system provisioning, including Linux and virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, etc.)
  • Ensure systems are secure and aligned with best practices

Process, Standards & Optimization

  • Define and enforce processes, SOPs, and operational standards
  • Improve documentation, rack diagrams, inventory tracking, and system visibility
  • Drive initiatives to reduce operational overhead and increase efficiency
  • Introduce tools and automation where relevant to improve workflows

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Center environments, including ownership or leadership responsibilities
  • CCNA or equivalent certification (higher certifications — advantage)
  • Strong networking expertise (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing & switching)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across hardware and network layers
  • Extensive experience with rack & stack, cabling standards, and physical infrastructure design
  • Experience working in high-pressure, mission-critical environments
  • Ability to lead tasks independently and drive them end-to-end

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with liquid cooling technologies
  • Familiarity with Linux and virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)
  • Experience with DCIM tools, automation, or hybrid/cloud environments
  • Experience working with large-scale labs, telco, or hyperscaler environments

Who You Are

  • Natural leader with a hands-on mindset
  • Highly proactive with strong ownership
  • Structured thinker who brings order to complex environments
  • Strong communicator with attention to detail
  • Comfortable making decisions and leading in dynamic, sometimes chaotic environments

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge infrastructure used by leading global providers
  • Take a key role in shaping and scaling data center operations
  • Be part of a highly technical, impact-driven team
  • Opportunity to grow into broader technical or leadership roles
  • Exposure to next-generation networking and AI infrastructure
