Aggregation networks must handle different access technologies and different types of services and traffic patterns and to efficiently aggregate those into the core network.
Those service types include mobile connectivity, dedicated VPN traffic and public, broadband internet access.

Traditionally, each of those services are handled in an aggregation network silo, dedicated to a single service. This architecture is extremely non-efficient, as those services typically differ from each other in terms of traffic patterns and network resources requirement and utilize only part of the resources in their dedicated router.

Moreover, a sudden change in traffic patterns, that could derive, for instance, from massive work-from-home trends, pose a burden on network operators as they need to reallocate physical network resources from one aggregation network domain to another.

DriveNets Network Cloud addresses these challenges by changing the network paradigm – building networks like cloud – scalable, elastic, cost-efficient and simple to manage.

Based on a distributed disaggregated chassis architecture, the Network Cloud solutions allows cloud and network operators to merge their physical aggregation network infrastructure into a single, shared-resource Network Cloud infrastructure, thus significantly reducing the hardware, port-count and peripheral infrastructure requirement (saving CAPEX and OPEX) and increasing the network agility and elasticity, allowing seamless porting of resources from one virtual domain to another, according to the changing traffic patterns and service needs.


DriveNets Network Cloud aggregation services replace multiple aggregation routers, serving different aggregation domains, with a software-based shared infrastructure solution, running containerized networking functions over clusters of white box scalable in size.
